I am reading this game in hopes of learning how to hone my scumdar, which seems to be completely non-existant based on my experiences with the NSFW and DogMom's minigame. I am going to be paying really close attention to how scum interact with each other (or not) and what sorts of things they post. Thanks for letting me read along!

Happy to have you here. Note what the vanilla town are doing also, and how that differs from how the non vanilla town are acting. I think this game is a pretty good example of powerd town acting noticably different from vanilla town and catching tons of heat for it.

Also, I can't believe that Charlie didn't claim. I think he doesn't quite understand what happens to him if he gets lynched.

Whee! I get to set someone on fire*!
*This is not because I like setting things on fire (although I do), but solely because Ontongard and Pack can only be killed by fire (and some poisons, but no one ever says what kind of poisons, besides, fire is more fun).

Some of the scum seem to be a good job of acting like the vanilla town - maybe because of the unknowns (Aliens, 3rd party, etc.)?

It's easy for scum to act like town on Day 1, especially if there is anything that is unknown to them in the setup (like you pointed out). My feeling is that the goal of Day 1 isn't so much catching scum, but figuring out who is probably not scum so you have some focus to the discussion when the bodies turn up on Day 2.
@kat, I am looking forward to the fire. Poor guy. I hope he asks for spoilers.

He was doing really good, until that whole "vote for Ed" thing.

I'm going out to dinner now. If you or the Temple/Aliens haven't started Night One threads by the time I get back, I will start them then.

Is it possible to be able to read the scum and alien boards? Obviously I wouldn't post but I'd like to read their discussions. (I realize the links are in the other thread but it looks like I need to make an account and i wanted to make sure that that was kosher before I did anything.

Yes, go right ahead. Your accounts on each one will need to be approved by me or NAF once you create it, so post in here or PM one of us once you've created them.
No posting on either of them, of course.

I wonder if, knowing that the immunizer is out of the picture, people will be more likely to accept recruitment.

Y'all's are approved. If you would like to comment on any of the Temple or Alien strategies, you can paste it into this thread and add your comments.
